The Doxa Youth Foundation is a community-based organisation that was established in 1972.  We offer a range of programmes to improve outcomes for disadvantaged children and young people across Victoria.  We have a particular focus on providing camps and assisting young people to succeed in their studies and the workforce.

 

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a person with a strong background in administration to join our team in the Melbourne CBD.  The major focus of this role is managing our office and undertaking a range of administrative tasks as an office all-rounder.  You will become a part of an organisation with a vibrant and engaging culture where the staff is particularly friendly and welcoming.  There is a combination of direct service delivery and back of house support personnel working from our Melbourne CBD location.

 

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have:

  1. Experience in providing office and administrative support,
  2. Strong typing skills and knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite,
  3. An ability to learn and work with a range of data bases, and
  4. A demonstrated capacity to relate well to a broad range of people.

We have a vacancy for the Manager of our Cadetship programme.  Our Cadetship Programme assists motivated and talented young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to succeed at university and to enhance their employability.  The cornerstone of the programme is offering work placements and mentors at some of Australia’s leading public and private organisations.  We also provide personal support, a living allowance, a book allowance and challenging professional development and training.

 

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have:

  1. Skills and experience in leading teams,
  2. A demonstrated capacity to understand and relate well to young people,
  3. An ability to develop and maintain relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, and
  4. Experience in successfully seeking business sponsorship.

This position is responsible for managing our Malmsbury Camp office and providing administrative support.  We are all about our campers having fun and learning while creating unforgettable childhood memories.  Our camping programmes are available to schools in low socio-economic communities and for children from disadvantaged backgrounds over the holidays

 

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have:

  1. Experience in providing office and administrative support,
  2. The ability to learn and work with a range of data bases, especially in the area of client relationship management,
  3. Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to multi task and prioritise and,
  4. The capacity to relate well to a broad range of stakeholders including children, teachers and community groups.

We are all about our campers having fun and learning while creating unforgettable childhood memories.  Our camping programmes are available to schools in low socio-economic communities and for children from disadvantaged backgrounds over the holidays.

 

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have:

  1. Experience in a similar role,
  2. Demonstrated experience in managing a small team including scheduling work,
  3. Experience in using subcontractors to complete works and evaluating their performance, and
  4. An understanding of OH&S obligations.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally you will have:

  1. Proven knowledge and experience in delivering outdoor recreation programmes,
  2. Good facilitation and communication skills,
  3. The ability to relate well to a broad range of stakeholders including children, teachers and community groups and,
  4. The capacity to work independently and as part of the team.
