Sponsor and Cadet Networking

On Thursday 3rd July, we hosted our annual Sponsor and Cadet Networking Event.

A wonderful gathering of cadets, sponsors, board members, and friends of Doxa Youth Foundation.  It was a chance to reconnect, share stories, meet and celebrate the impact of the Cadetship Program. The room was filled with inspiration, gratitude, and hope for the future. Thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support the Doxa Youth Foundation.

From Cadet to Entrepreneur

Cadetship program made all the difference for William Nguyen

William joined the Doxa Cadetship Program while studying a Bachelor of Business (Accounting and Finance) and completed his mentored industry placement with sponsor company QBE.

“From day one, Doxa made me feel like I belonged in the same room as some of the smartest people in the world, and that feeling stuck with me. The program didn’t just open doors. It gave me the confidence to walk through them.”

After his cadetship at QBE, William spent time at Ernst & Young as a vacationer and later a graduate, then moved into financial analyst roles at UNSW and News Corp. The biggest leap came later, stepping away from salaried roles and into entrepreneurship.

His first business was a flower shop that failed. His second was a marketing agency called If and When, which he later sold.

“Those experiences taught me more than any job ever did. Today, I run two businesses I genuinely love: INH Transport, a freight company based in Sydney, and Credle, a new venture helping people finance IVF and egg freezing.”

William’s journey hasn’t been linear, but he reports that the Doxa Youth Foundation Cadetship gave him the mindset to keep carrying on.

“No room is too big if you back yourself”.  William Nguyen
